SeedSpark keeps as little as it can. Here is all of it.
About you
Your email address and sign-in, handled by Clerk. If you buy the family plan, Stripe collects your card and billing address (the address is how Stripe works out the right sales tax). We never see or store your card number. We keep only a Stripe customer number, whether your plan is active, and when it renews.
About your children
A nickname and an avatar that you choose, and their typing: which pages they finished, and for each key, when it was pressed and whether it was the right one. We use that timing to show you which keys are solid and which need practice. We never ask for a child's email address, real name, age, photo or location, and children never see ads.
Notes you send us
If you, your child or a teacher uses Tell us something, we keep the note, what kind it is, which screen it came from, and the screen size and browser, so we can find and fix what went wrong. A copy is emailed to our own inbox. Notes are deleted with the child, family or class.
Analytics
Only on the public pages (this one, the home page and the terms), and only if you accept the cookie notice: Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, to see how visitors use those pages. There are no analytics inside the app where children type. We don't sell data or share it with advertisers.
Where it is stored
Account and typing data is in a Neon PostgreSQL database in Oregon, United States. Sign-in is run by Clerk and payments by Stripe, each under their own privacy terms. Our emails to you (a welcome, and the notes you say yes to) are sent by Resend, which gets your email address and nothing about your children.
Deleting it
From the grown-ups page you can delete a child, with all of their typing, or your whole account. Deleting the account cancels any family plan and removes every child on it. Stripe keeps payment records for as long as tax law requires.
